Il calcio italiano è arbitrato dalla televisione, i monitor per la precisione. Comincia così l’inchiesta di Franco Ordine su Il Giornale. Sì, perché il rigorino concesso all’Atalanta nella sfida di San Siro contro il Milan di Stefano Pioli è stata la prova che il giudizio degli arbitri non conta più ed è sovrastato dall’utilizzo dei monitor. Certo il Var aiuta e non poco, ma solamente in alcune dinamiche.
In altre occasioni, invece, la revisione delle immagini porta il direttore di gara a cambiare la decisione, alterando il metro di giudizio adottato. Quello con l’Atalanta è solamente uno dei tanti episodi che ha fatto discutere in questa stagione. Un altro caso analogo a quello di San Siro, riguarda il derby di Roma dello scorso 10 gennaio. Il difensore giallorosso Huijsen interviene cercando il pallone, Castellanos mette davanti la gamba e prende un calcio. L’arbitro Orsato (lo stesso di Milan-Atalanta che per il suo metro di giudizio non ha mai fischiato questo tipo di contatti) lascia giocare, ma richiamato dal Var concede il calcio di rigore.

Il problema principale sta, quindi, nel regolamento. Ci deve, infatti, essere una regola che stabilisce quando il direttore di gara deve essere richiamato alla review e quando non deve. Non può essere l’arbitro nella sala Var di Lissone a giudicare i contatti di gioco, perché davanti a un monitor, tutti gli interventi sembrano fallosi. Il Var deve intervenire solamente in caso di chiaro ed evidente errore!
