Il Milan interrompe la sua striscia positiva iniziata con le vittorie contro Fiorentina e Frosinone e perde il match di Bergamo contro l’Atalanta. Un gol di Luis Muriel nei minuti di recupero regala la vittoria ai bergamaschi, mentre i rossoneri finiscono in dieci per l’espulsione di Calabria. Nel primo tempo i rossoneri partono bene, ma la prima occasione della partita è dell’Atalanta con De Ketelaere, ex di giornata, che dopo pochi minuti da posizione ravvicinata spara alto. Al 26′ Tomori su corner trova la giusta coordinazione per tentare un tiro, ma Ederson riesce a deviare il pallone, consegnandolo a Musso. Al 38′ si sblocca la partita con Lookman che scarta Theo e calcia in porta. Il tiro viene deviato da Tomori ed entra in rete beffando Maignan. A pochi secondi dalle fine del recupero, un colpo di testa di Giroud da corner permette al Diavolo di andare a riposo con il risultato di 1-1.
Nella ripresa parte subito forte l’Atalanta e al 54′ De Ketelaere riceve palla sulla fascia sinistra e mette in area una palla perfetta per Lookman, che trova il suo secondo gol del match. La squadra di Gasperini gioca molto bene e può addirittura trovare il terzo gol, ma il belga spreca l’ennesima conclusione. All’80’ Jovic trova il pareggio grazie all’ottimo assist di Pulisic. Gasperini cambia in avanti e inserisce Muriel e Miranchuk. Nei 6 minuti di recupero succede di tutto. Il Milan, infatti, rimane in 10 per l’espulsione di Calabria. Passano due minuti e l’Atalanta trova il terzo gol proprio con Muriel con una magia che regala i tre punti ai padroni di casa.
