Dibattito acceso sui social dopo le recenti dichiarazioni dell’ex Milan Kevin-Prince Boateng durante una live su TvPlay: «Leao è fortissimo, Mario però era di un altro livello. Era un fenomeno. Lui ha fatto vedere cosa poteva fare, ho giocato con lui e ho visto cosa riesce a fare quando è serio». L’ex numero 10 rossonero ha ammesso di stravedere per SuperMario: «Amo Balotelli, per me poteva vincere tre volte il Pallone d’Oro. Aveva bisogno di uno come me ogni giorno o di persone che lo mettessero nella direzione giusta».
I due hanno condiviso lo spogliatoio di Milanello solamente per sei mesi: nel gennaio del 2013 il Milan aveva annunciato l’arrivo di Balotelli e il 30 agosto la cessione di Boateng in Bundesliga, allo Schalke 04. Secondo il Boa, Mario è stato l’unico giocatore per qualità vicino a Ibrahimovic: «L’unico che si avvicinava alle qualità di Zlatan – ha detto – Quando Ibra calciava non aveva rivali, ma Balotelli gli si avvicinava».

Rafa Leao invece – secondo il pensiero di Boateng – ha davanti a sé ancora parecchia strada da fare. È evidente che l’opinione di Boateng riflette il suo punto di vista sull’abilità e sul potenziale di Rafa Leao. Questa valutazione può essere interpretata come un incoraggiamento per Leao a continuare a lavorare sodo per migliorare e progredire nella sua carriera nel calcio.
