Quando arrivò a Milanello dal Valencia Yunus Musah era visto come il tassello mancante per completare il centrocampo del Milan di Pioli. L’americano con un passato da giovanissimo in Italia arrivò con la nomea da classico mediano ma ben presto si è dimostrato un vero e proprio Jolly capace di occupare i più svariati ruoli nella mediana rossonera. Fin dalle prime amichevoli estive Stefano Pioli l’ha provato come incursore prevalentemente sula fascia destra dopo avergli preferito inizialmente Rade Krunic come play basso.
Ormai non più nelle rotazioni da play basso visto l’alternanza tra Krunic e Adli dopo l’infortunio del serbo, che sta recuperando da una lesione al bicipite femorale, il giovanissimo (20enne) Musah si è ritrovato, spesso da subentrante, a presidiare la fascia destra con un ruolo da mezz’ala che si concede numerose sgroppate offensive in sovrapposizione con Pulisic, deputato a presidiare quella fascia in fase offensiva. Il dinamismo di Yunus unito alle più che buone doti di palleggio hanno fatto il resto rendendolo, appunto, un vero e proprio Jolly a disposizione di Stefano Pioli.

Dove può migliorare Musah per guadagnare ulteriore minutaggio in rossonero? Nei movimenti senza palla e nelle conclusioni a rete. Il giocatore infatti spesso è un portatore di palla che tende ad avventurarsi in dribbling spesso e volentieri spostandosi sulla destra. Una maggiore mobilità senza palla al piede unita ad una maggiore cattiveria nel tiro in porta potrebbe portarlo ad essere un’altra freccia all’arco del Milan anche in fase realizzativa.
