L’avventura a Milanello di Charles De Ketelaere, l’acquisto rossonero più costoso dell’estate 2022, potrebbe essere giunta clamorosamente ai titoli di coda. Trentadue milioni più bonus al Bruges, Paolo Maldini un anno fa aveva battuto la concorrenza inglese del Leeds United e messo a disposizione di Stefano Pioli un promettente numero 10. In una stagione però tutto si è ribaltato: prestazioni sottotono, un solo assist contro il Bologna a inizio campionato, nemmeno un gol (l’anno prima 18 in 49 partite nel campionato belga) fragilità evidenti, tecniche e sul piano tattico.
CDK può partire, ma il Milan ha messo in chiaro un punto: se ne andrà solo se il Club recupererà l’investimento fatto nel luglio 2022. In altri termini, per evitare che l’operazione De Ketelaere si tramuti in una minusvalenza a bilancio, le casse di Via Aldo Rossi dovranno registrare un bonifico in entrata da almeno 28 milioni di euro.
